If all esle fails....
Bang the pots and pans. Well that's what I was about to do. It was about 5:15a.m. I was still staying out at the cabin on Big Manistique Lake and it was time to leave for work. Being out in the boonies and on a lake it was always extremely dark when it was time to leave for work so I always took a flash light out to the car with me and shone it around the yard on the way to my car to make sure there were no scary wild creatures. This particular morning I walked out shut the door turned on the flash light and there between the cabin and the car was a coyote! What was I suppose to do now? I was yelled as I unlocked the door to cabin to go in and get some pots and pans to bang together to scare him away. Apparently yelling was enough as the coyote ran out to the fields far away enough for me to get into my car. Later I was told since there was only one it was very possible that it was not a coyote but quite possibly a wolf. While a vacation would be nice in such a cabin I am thankful to no longer be staying at my "Little house in the big woods."
